Q: Does the screening unit crush? |
A: Yes, The MISU screen will crush soft
rock type material only, eg. lime, gypsum, salt, coal
and breakdown materials such as manure and mudstone to
a finer product. All new units
have an adjustable side rake system to assist with this process, moving
the rakes forward for screening and back for crushing. |
| |
Q:How much material will the MISU unit screen? |
A:
We are unable to state specific productivity rates, due to the
many variables such as:
- Plasticity of the material
- Moisture content of the material
- Operator skill
- Hydraulic horse power of the carrier
- Site layout & conditions
However, please refer to our 'theroetical
productivity' page for
conservative estimates under normal conditions for dry free flowing
material. |

Q:What is the wear rate of screening rotors? |
A:
Rotor blades are made of a heavy duty abrasive resistant plate,
with wear rate dependant upon abrasiveness of the material screened.
From our experiences, material such as mudstone
is very abrasive and can expect to require hard facing of rotor
blades every 300 to
500 hours.
Topsoils and mulches are considerably less abrasive and may only
require hardfacing from 1500 hours. |
| |
Q:Will the MISU unit fit my machine? |
A: MISU screening unit pick ups are fabricated to the carrier
specifications. Details of pick up specifications are requested
at the time of placing
the order.
|
| |
Q:Will the MISU screen finer than 20mm? |
A: No, 20mm is the finest screening size available from the
MISU product range, due to the intermeshing of rotor blades of
10mm thickness.
|
| |
Q:Does the MISU screen handle wet material? |
A:
Yes, the MISU screen can process material with high moisture content
that conventional screening plants cannot normally handle.
|
| |
Q:What are the unit maintenance requirements? |
A: Maintenance requirements are all outlined in the MISU operators
manual, however, the main maintenance procedures involve lubing
chains every 50 hours and greasing of bearings each 8 hours of
operation. |
